Palacio de Rojas

This is most certainly one of the best family hotels in Valencia. It is located steps away from Plaza del Tossal where you can find many cafes and restaurants. We certainly enjoyed our stay here.

In addition to great food nearby, you’re also close to some of Valencia’s best historical and architectural attractions. Less than 400 meters from the Lonja Silk Exchange and the Central Market. The Plaza de Virgen only minutes away on foot, and Cathedral and Torres Serranos minutes from there in opposite directions. Turia Park isn’t far, either.

The apartments have air conditioning, a great kitchenette, and dependable wifi. Also, private parking if you need it. Valencia is a great walking city and Palacio de Rojas puts you in a great location to walk from, but plenty of taxis and public transportation options are available as well. Taxis and bus stations abound, and several train stations are within walking distance — including one that goes to and from the airport.

If you want to be near both the park and great shopping, then the Hospes Palau de La Mar may be your best family hotel in Valencia. The 19th-century building is minutes from both Turia Park and the Mercado Colon and Colon shopping district. The Valencia CF Football Stadium and the Palacio de Musica are both short walks away, as well.

In fact, Real Madrid stayed here due to the proximity to the stadium (we stood outside to see them but missed out).

The Palau de la Mar’s Spa has 3 massage and treatment rooms. A hot tub, a sauna, and a Turkish bath are also included. There is also a small gym.

This is a beautiful, heritage-listed building, but some ground floor rooms can be dark for lack of windows. If you want more light, but upper floors.

Best Family Hotels in Valencia: Airbnb Apartments

During a summer road trip through northern Spain, we really enjoyed Airbnb apartments. For that specific trip, they worked better than hotels or even hostels. Of course, there isn’t any breakfast included nor is there any housekeeping, but the benefits far outweighed everything else.

Compared to hostels, we didn’t get to meet other like-minded travelers, but we paid about the same price (sometimes less) for a larger space — all without having to share a living room or showers. In Valencia, you can find many Airbnb apartments. Below are only a few we’ve found.

Whether you stay in luxury family hotel in Valencia or a hostel or apartments, I hope you find the best family hotel in Valencia for your family travel.
