Digital Nomad with Family - #EER011 The HillersJacob is a digital nomad with family, and he and his wife, Kalli have it figured out. They began exploring the globe not long after marrying in 2008, and have been traveling ever since. Their son, Ryder was born in Mexico, and has enjoyed nearly 2 years on the road with his mom and dad.

To be a Digital Nomad with Family

The Hillers are a true digital nomad family. They have lived on 6 different continents and in 30 different countries, and have created a system of travel and online income that works for them. I caught up with them in their temporary home in Tokyo, Japan, and we discussed where they’ve been, what they do to support themselves and how they make airport day a special day.

For Kalli (travel, reading & cooking):

Jacob (mostly business & collaboration):

  • Ryder has been taught to always introduce himself.
  • Make the extra effort to connect with people: When he gets a small cheap toy from a vending machine, they always get two, and tell Ryder to go give one to a kids he sees around.
  • Try and cook local, and seek out recipes from the region.

  1. Nice interview. Good to hear about a family travelling with a baby, as this is less common.

    Hello Jacob. Kalli and Ryder;
    Nice to read about another travelling family. Tried to leave a comment on your blog but have to jump too many hoops or provide to much of my info, so leaving one here. Hope you skip over and check out our blog and that maybe one day our paths will cross. Any plans for coming to Australia?
